Pray for One Another

It makes sense to pray in suffering, but why when things are going well? Recall and discuss the two reasons stated in the sermon.

  1. Do you ever struggle to believe that prayer makes any difference, especially your prayer? Did this passage encourage you in this area? Discuss.

  2. James calls on the church to pray for restoration. What are the three forms of restorative prayer given in verses 14-20? Talk about which one(s) stuck out to you as a place you could aim and invest your prayers.

  3. Jesus prays for us 24/7, taking our needs to the Father, even the ones we don’t know to pray for (take a look at Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25; 1 John 2:1). In what ways can this truth encourage us to pray? Reflect.
